What is Good News?
Good News is a Christian ministry dedicated to making the message of Jesus Christ freely available to the people of Suriname. We do this by distributing printed Scripture, sharing digital resources, and partnering with local churches.
Is everything really free?
Yes. Every Gospel booklet, Bible, and digital resource we distribute is provided free of charge. We never sell God's Word.
Are you affiliated with a church?
Good New Project is the ministry of Clevia Baptist Church and is supported by a network of like-minded churches across Suriname.
What do you distribute?
We distribute specially designed student editions of the Gospel of John to help students engage more deeply with the biblical text. Our booklets are designed to encourage careful reading and understanding by including helpful study aids such as glossaries, explanatory notes, maps, and other reading tools. Each printed booklet also provides access to a growing library of free digital resources, allowing students to continue exploring God's Word for themselves.
Do you distribute in schools?
Yes. We seek permission from each school before conducting any distribution. We strive to conduct every visit professionally, respectfully, and in accordance with the school's policies and the laws of Suriname.
Are students required to accept your materials?
No. Our materials are offered freely. No one is forced or pressured to accept them.

Which Bible translation do you use?
Our bilingual edition uses the HSV for Dutch and Da Bijbel Na Ini Sranan Tong for Sranan Tongo.The Bible may be accessed in many additional languages through our digital platform.

Why is the ministry called "Good News"?
"Good News" is the literal meaning of the word "gospel". The good news is that God loves us and sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins and rise again, so that everyone who believes in Him may receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
